Description

We are involved in numerous projects such as Trees for Schools and Kids of the Cape.

Overview

The project involves alien clearing; ie cutting down, stack piling, weeding and treating of aliens with a herbacide. We have requested a maximum of 30 Volunteers for this project; although the project can still go ahead with a minimum of 15 Volunteers.

Please note that this project is set to take place on 20 September 2009.

Beneficiaries

The Silvermine River Valley and catchment area plus all the public that utilizes this part of the Table Mountain National Park for recreation.

Impact

The National Park will be clear of alien vegetation.

Problems and Challenges

Weather, which cannot be controlled; although it is possible to continue with the project in poor weather, but within reason.

Materials required

We will supply tools and herbacides as well as refreshments on the day.
