Description
POPKids is in the process of setting up a mini-town. The streets of our mini-town are laid and the kids have brand new bicycles with which they can cycle around in their town. The town still needs a bit of character. We need things the kids can buy in their shop.
Overview
POPKids consists of 65 children between the ages of 1 and 5 years. The children at POPKids spend their days in an environment where they are safe, loved and cared for. POPKids follows an educational programme that is designed to stimulate them.
A request for 15 volunteers was made but project may still go ahead with only 10 volunteers.
Materials required
- Hardy flowers
- Gardening tools
- Plastic, fibre glass or cement animals
- Plants for the "Kruger Park"
- Plastic toys for our "shop" (i.e. fruit and vegetables, canned food, a till etc.)
- A small wendy house for the post office
- Red paint for the post office
