The Mosaic Skills Project - Alma School project is in Gauteng.
Description

We strive to equip disabled children with the necessary skills to live with dignity and to be a valuable citizen within his/ her community.

Overview

Training for staff and a few learners in the art of mosaic in order to achieve the learning outcomes as prescribed by the GDE.

Beneficiaries

Teachers, teacher’s assistants and learners of Alma School.

Impact

It is all about teaching learners new skills. In Literacy it expands their vocabulary, to be able to understand and execute instructions and to work and understanding according to the activity. In Numeracy it teaches them shapes, positioning in space as well as the concept of three dimensions. In Life skills it teaches them safety and it develops their work skills such as sprinkling, rubbing, cutting, pasting, etc.
