The Upgrading Play area project is in KwaZulu-Natal.
Description

Edith Benson Babies Home is registered for 60 infants and young children under 5 years of age. All the babies have been abandoned abused or neglected and are admitted to the Home through the Children's Court. They are placed thier either by a social worker or the police. A large number of the babies and children are HIV positive and some are born with full-blown AIDS. Others have kwashiorkor, rickets and Tuberculosis.

Overview

To replace/ repair and paint play equipment in three play areas, Cutting of 3 small trees interfering with the telephone cables, Super flex flooring strips – lounge in pre primary.

Beneficiaries

All the babies and toddlers at the Edith Benson Babies Home will benefit from the recreational value of the revamped playground.

Impact

The project will help all children admitted to Edith Benson Babies Home with outdoor recreation.

  • 1 Bag of cement
