Description
To protect the working cart horses from abuse and contribute to the upliftment of the carting community living on the Cape Flats by providing static and mobile clinic services, support, education and training.
To realise our vision of a regulated carting industry, where all working cart horses are fit, healthy and happy in their work collecting scrap metal, which for their owners is the only means of generating an income for themselves and their families.
Overview
Weeding of 16 paddocks. Clearing of stones and any other potentially dangerous objects from the premises.
Beneficiaries
The working cart horses who are in our care at the Centre. These horses have been confiscated from their owners.
Impact
A safe place for the horses to roam.
